RED BULL LISBON CONQUEST

PRAÇA DO COMÉRCIO – LISBOA

Lisbon became the skateboarding capital of the world on the 10th of July! The Red Bull Lisbon Conquest changed the scenery of Praça do Comércio, right in the heart of Lisbon, by concentrating all the magic of skateboarding in one place.

After the success in Paris, this skate competition brought together the elite of the sport – starting with the Olympic athlete Gustavo Ribeiro.

The eighth place at the Tokyo Olympic Games invited the main world players – 12 male and 12 female athletes – of what is one of the fastest growing sports in the world.

Praça do Comércio was the stage for a block where 7 iconic street spots from Lisbon and Portugal were played.

The world’s best skaters met in Lisbon to discover the capital’s most iconic spots.

Can you guess any spots?

In the video, we let Gustavo Ribeiro unravel all the spots!

APARK was the official court partner for this event.

A team of 12 people had, for just two days, the mission to build and reproduce the best spots for skateboarding in Lisbon and transform them into an unprecedented skatepark in Praça do Comércio, for a competition, on one of the hottest days of the year.

A big factor contributing to the incredible spectacle experienced at the Red Bull Lisbon Conquest was the skatepark built in Praça do Comércio.

The 7 most iconic spots in Lisbon were reproduced on a single court and anyone who had the opportunity to skate there will never forget it.

The skatepark was spectacular. I want to do more street skating, in addition to competition, so it was the perfect opportunity to combine them. The spots were five stars. It was an excellent choice”, commented Roos, one of the finalists. > Red Bull
